Description: The RVSF was established in 1964 to “solicit, collect and otherwise raise money for charitable and benevolent purposes: to receive, invest, deposit and from said funds to apply both the income and principal thereof to provide advanced education scholarships and financial aid to graduating seniors in the High School, Rondout Valley Central School District, of the towns of Marbletown, Rochester, Rosendale and Wawarsing”. On Senior Day this past June, the class of 2024 awardees received 80 scholarships totaling $46,000 from the RVSF. Since its inception through June of 2024 the RVSF has awarded just over 2,000 scholarships totaling approximately $1,113,000 to deserving seniors at Rondout Valley High School.

Description: Rosendale International Pickle Festival is held once a year, on the 3rd Thursday of October. Located at the Ulster County Fairgrounds 249 Libertyville Rd, New Paltz, New York. Founded in 1997. We host over 100 vendors who sell pickles, groceries, hot food, baked goods, crafts, fashion and more. There's a home pickling contest and the Pickle Triathlon offers a pickle eating contest, pickle juice drinking and a pickle toss. Up to 5,000 people visit the Pickle Festival every year. All proceeds are donated back into the Rosendale community. Rain or Shine! We do not cancel. $5/kids free. NO PETS

Description: Pronounced SHON-gum by locals, the region is outlined by the Shawangunk Mountains Scenic Byway, officially designated a New York State Scenic Byway by the state legislature and the governor in the fall of 2006. An alternate route through Gardiner was added in the fall of 2009. The now 88-mile byway encircles the northern Shawangunk Mountains and travels through the Rondout and Wallkill valleys, linking communities that have a common relationship to the northern Shawangunks and forming a distinct region of the state with its own special character.

Description: The Stone Ridge Public Library is a special district library located on Route 209 in Stone Ridge. Located in a historic stone building, the library has been in existence since 1909. In 2000, the Library became a special district library, supported by the tax payers of Marbletown. The Library is administered by a nine person Board of Trustees, elected by Marbletown residents. The Library is a member of the Mid-Hudson Library System. Through this system, patrons have access to materials in 65 libraries in the surrounding area. Children’s services include after-school story hours, participation in the state wide summer reading program, and special programming throughout the year.
